The Fiji Baby Pearls are primed to commence their competition in Netball Queensland’s Ruby North series in Australia tomorrow. The squad consists of 15 players, with a majority being local talent and three athletes based overseas. This initiative from Netball Queensland aims to provide elite opportunities for the most promising netball players from the central and northern regions of the state.
After the competition, six players from the local contingent will remain in Australia for a two-week High Performance Training Program, further enhancing their skills and experience. The tournament will feature a total of five teams, representing a significant step for the Baby Pearls as they prepare for future international contests, including the upcoming Netball Youth World Cup.
