The Tourism Fiji Board has successfully concluded its global recruitment process with the appointment of Dr. Paresh Pant as the new Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Pant assumes the role with over 25 years of experience in tourism, hospitality, and aviation spanning Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. His previous tenure with Tourism Fiji includes pivotal roles such as Regional Director for New Zealand and Australia, where he was instrumental in achieving significant visitor growth and implementing crisis recovery strategies.
Known for his visionary approach, Dr. Pant has consistently delivered transformative marketing strategies that have reinforced destination appeal, ensured sustainable visitor growth, and fostered robust stakeholder partnerships. He expressed his enthusiasm about his new appointment, acknowledging the critical role tourism plays in Fiji’s economy and identity. Dr. Pant will commence his duties as CEO in October, heralding a new chapter for the organization.
