Fiji Airways has unveiled plans for a new direct route between Nadi, Fiji, and Cairns, Australia, set to launch on April 10, 2025. The airline will operate the service three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Passengers traveling from Cairns will benefit from seamless connections to Dallas/Fort Worth through Nadi, which presents a quicker travel option to North America and other international locations. This strategic initiative not only enhances connectivity but also taps into the appeal of Northern Australia, a region celebrated for its tourism and economic opportunities.
Tickets for the Nadi-Cairns flights are available now, featuring special introductory fares starting at FJD$799 for Lite and FJD$899 for Value return tickets per person.
André Viljoen, Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways, emphasized that this new route marks an important step in the airline’s expansion efforts, enhancing travel options for customers. Richard Barker, CEO of Cairns Airport, hailed the announcement as transformative for the region. He noted that the new flights open up travel opportunities to the South Pacific for locals and provide efficient one-stop access to North America through Nadi, reducing travel time to major cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco by approximately three hours.
