Fiji Airways has once again distinguished itself in the aviation sector, securing two prestigious accolades at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards: Best Cabin Service and Best Food & Beverage in the South Pacific. This recognition was announced by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) during the FTE Asia EXPO held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The awards were determined based on more than one million verified passenger votes collected through TripIt by Concur, highlighting the importance of customer feedback in evaluating airline performance.
This new achievement follows Fiji Airways’ recent designation as an APEX World Class Airline for 2026. The airline now joins the elite ranks of the top 10 airlines globally, marking a significant milestone as the smallest airline by fleet size to receive this prestigious title and the only carrier from Oceania to earn such recognition. Paul Scurrah, the Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways, expressed pride in these awards, stating, “They reinforce our position as a premium carrier in the region.” He emphasized that the airline’s commitment to exceptional service quality, innovative dining options, and rigorous crew training ensures the warmth of Fiji permeates every aspect of a traveler’s journey.
Fiji Airways’ Best Food & Beverage accolade reflects the airline’s recent introduction of its Pacific Rim menu and On-Demand Dining service for Business Class passengers. These new offerings showcase a diverse range of flavors from the Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and North America while celebrating Fijian ingredients. Business Class passengers are now able to enjoy freshly plated dishes, artisan Fijian chocolate, and locally inspired dining options. Meanwhile, Economy Class guests can also savor a refreshed menu featuring an assortment of new meal options, cocktails, and expanded snack selections.
APEX awards assess several aspects of passenger experience across over 600 airlines globally, encompassing seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage quality, entertainment, and Wi-Fi access.
