Each aircraft will accommodate 68 passengers and is designed to enhance the airline’s regional routes, particularly those serving the Northern and Western divisions of Fiji.

CEO and Managing Director of Fiji Airways, Andre Viljoen, emphasized the significance of this investment in improving domestic connectivity. He stated, “These two new ATR aircraft are a significant investment in Fiji’s domestic connectivity… This fleet expansion will also help us continue to meet the growing demand for domestic travel, ensuring that we can provide increased capacity where it’s needed most.” This indicates a positive trend in the tourism and travel sector in Fiji, as the airline works to cater to increasing passenger demand.

In addition to the new aircraft, Fiji Link, the domestic and regional branch of Fiji Airways, has unveiled new staff uniforms that align with the Fiji Airways design. Viljoen remarked that the uniform standardization reflects the airline’s commitment to excellence and professionalism, ensuring that crew members represent the highest service standards for a consistent experience for passengers.

Overall, the arrival of new aircraft paired with upgraded uniforms signals a bright future for Fiji Airways and Fiji Link, showcasing their dedication to enhancing passenger service and connectivity within the islands.
