Fiji Airways is set to enhance its fleet with the addition of two new ATR 72-600 aircraft, scheduled to arrive on December 29, 2024, and January 5, 2025. These planes, each capable of seating 68 passengers, will primarily serve regional routes within Fiji, particularly connecting the Northern and Western divisions.

Fiji Airways’ CEO and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen, emphasized that this purchase marks a major investment in the country’s domestic connectivity. He stated that the new aircraft are crucial in their commitment to offering comfortable and efficient travel options, thereby improving connectivity among the islands. “This fleet expansion will help us meet the growing demand for domestic travel, ensuring increased capacity where it’s needed most,” he added.

In addition to the fleet expansion, Fiji Link, the domestic and regional arm of Fiji Airways, has introduced new uniforms for its crew, now standardized to align with the iconic Fiji Airways attire. This initiative underscores the airline’s dedication to professionalism and excellence, aiming to provide passengers with a consistent and seamless travel experience.

This expansion not only boosts domestic travel options but also reflects Fiji Airways’ broader vision for growth and service enhancement in the region, illustrating optimism for the future of air travel in Fiji.

As Fiji Airways takes these steps toward improvement, passengers can look forward to an elevated travel experience that emphasizes comfort and connectivity within the beautiful islands of Fiji.
