Fiji Airways has been announced as the Official Airline Partner of the LA Clippers for the 2024-25 NBA season, further solidifying the airline’s ties with Los Angeles. This partnership marks a significant step for Fiji Airways, which operates the only daily non-stop flights between Fiji and the vibrant city of Los Angeles, ensuring convenient travel and exceptional service for travelers.

As part of this new alliance, Fiji Airways will strengthen its engagement within the Los Angeles community through prominent branding during Clippers games, special promotions, and participation in the team’s youth camps and clinics. “We are excited to support the Clippers and their fans both on and off the court, highlighting our direct service from Los Angeles to Fiji,” stated Fiji Airways CEO Andre Viljoen.

This collaboration represents Fiji Airways’ first sponsorship with an NBA team and is part of a broader strategic effort including the recent launch of direct services to Dallas, the integration into the American Airlines AAdvantage program, and the anticipated full membership in the Oneworld Alliance by 2025. Viljoen emphasized that partnering with the LA Clippers is a pivotal move in their strategy aimed at growth in North America.

Throughout the three-year sponsorship, Fiji Airways will prominently display its branding at the new Intuit Dome during all Clippers home games, showcasing the allure of Fiji’s islands to an audience of over 17,500 fans per game. The partnership will also offer Clippers fans exclusive deals, promotional offers, and exciting contests during the NBA season, with prizes including free flights to Fiji and unique travel packages.

“This partnership transcends sports; the Clippers embody our values of teamwork and excellence. We look forward to welcoming more Clippers fans aboard,” added Viljoen. Additionally, Fiji Airways has committed to supporting the Clippers’ community initiatives, helping cultivate future sports talent.

Scott Sonnenberg, Chief Commercial Officer for the LA Clippers and Intuit Dome, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are honored to be Fiji Airways’ first NBA partner and look forward to reaching new audiences together.” Fiji Airways operates daily nonstop flights between Nadi, Fiji, and Los Angeles using the modern Airbus A350-900 XWB, equipped with spacious economy seats and lie-flat business class options.
