Fiji Airways has introduced full flight messaging WiFi for its passengers, effective November 1. This upgrade allows Economy Class guests to enjoy complimentary access, moving away from the previous 15-minute limit for in-flight services.
According to a statement from the airline, passengers can now use their favorite messaging apps to stay connected with friends and family at no extra charge while flying on their modern Airbus A350 and Boeing 737MAX aircraft. While Business Class travelers already had access to full browsing, the airline has also improved its onboard WiFi options, offering plans that begin at US$7.95 (FJ$17.96) for those in Economy.
This initiative follows Fiji Airways’ recent recognition as a five-star airline by the Airline Passenger Experience Association, a testament to their commitment to excellence. The airline has been awarded the Five Star Major Airline Award for three consecutive years, reflecting its dedication to providing outstanding service.
Fiji Airways emphasizes that the new WiFi service is part of their mission to enhance connectivity and ensure a unique travel experience that embodies the warmth of Fijian hospitality. The airline expresses excitement about leading the way in the South Pacific, allowing passengers to remain connected throughout their journeys.
This upgrade not only enhances passenger experience by facilitating communication but also reinforces Fiji Airways’ position as a competitive airline in the region, showcasing their commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
Overall, the introduction of free in-flight messaging WiFi is a positive step for travelers, promising to make flying a more enjoyable and connected experience.
