FIJI Airways has submitted an application to the United States Department of Transportation to establish a new nonstop route between Nadi, Fiji, and Dallas, Texas.
The airline aims to commence this route as soon as it receives the necessary approvals.
In a statement dated July 11, 2024, Fiji Airways mentioned, “With the recent acquisition of new, 334-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft, we are now able to expand our route network to include service between Nadi and Dallas-Fort Worth.”
The airline plans to operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, starting as soon as they receive all required government approvals.
“This approval aligns with the public interest,” the statement continued. “Currently, there is no direct, nonstop service from Nadi to Dallas-Fort Worth. Fiji Airways’ proposed service will introduce new travel options to Fiji from a major market in a new US geographic region, offering convenient connections to the middle and eastern US.”
Fiji Airways already operates flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco in the USA.
