Fiji Airways Launches Exciting New Direct Route to Dallas!

Fiji Airways has announced the launch of its inaugural direct flight from Nadi to Dallas, Texas, set to start on December 10. According to the airline, this new non-stop service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, utilizing the modern Airbus A350-900 XWB.

The aircraft will accommodate 301 economy class passengers and 33 business class seats with aisle access that can be converted into lie-flat beds. Fiji Airways Chief Executive and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen, expressed enthusiasm for this significant milestone, highlighting the airline’s efforts to enhance connectivity between Fiji and the United States.

Viljoen noted that the Dallas route will complement several recent initiatives, including Fiji Airways’ intention to join the American Airlines AAdvantage® loyalty program next year and becoming the 15th full member of the Oneworld alliance in 2025.

This new service is expected to bring over 1,000 passengers weekly to Fiji, supporting the country’s tourism sector. The overnight flights will also enhance connectivity for travelers from the South Pacific to North America and beyond.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, remarked that the new direct route to Dallas is a promising advancement for Fiji, opening up greater opportunities for tourism and trade between the two countries. He pointed out that Dallas holds substantial potential as a new source market for Fiji’s tourism, with DFW International Airport ranked as the world’s third-busiest airport and Texas experiencing rapid growth in its population.

Additionally, Dallas will become the 24th international direct destination for Fiji Airways, joining other North American locations such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Vancouver. The airline has clarified that flights in and out of Dallas are contingent upon regulatory approvals from the US government.
