Fiji Airways has announced travel alerts impacting two regional routes, cautioning passengers about possible disruptions due to fuel supply issues at their destination airports.

In an official announcement, the airline clarified that flights to Funafuti will proceed under operational restrictions until 15 January 2026. This adjustment is necessitated by the requirement for aircraft to uplift additional contingency fuel from Fiji, resulting in limited flight capacity due to weight constraints.

Similar challenges have arisen for the Nadi–Vava’u service, where fuel will not be available until 9 January 2026. In light of these circumstances, Fiji Airways has indicated that both passengers and their checked or standby baggage may need to be offloaded to adhere to the weight and balance specifications of the aircraft. The airline assures that affected individuals and luggage will be rebooked on the next available flight, as operationally feasible.

Travelers are advised to pack essential items and overnight necessities in their hand luggage, adhering to the standard carry-on regulations, to ensure comfort during their journey. Despite these logistical challenges, the airline aims to continue providing services while prioritizing safety and compliance with operational capacities.
