Fiji Airways has proudly achieved its third consecutive Five Star Major Airline recognition at the esteemed APEX Official Airline Ratings for 2025. This accolade underscores the airline’s unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch service, safety, and comfort, solidifying its status among the world’s elite airlines.
Fiji Airways is one of only 40 airlines globally to secure the APEX Five Star designation, a testament to its exceptional passenger satisfaction. The APEX awards are unique in that they rely solely on unbiased feedback from travelers, collected in partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, which is renowned as one of the most widely used travel planning apps. For the 2025 awards, over one million verified flight experiences were rated by passengers, encompassing more than 600 airlines worldwide on a five-star scale.
The criteria for achieving APEX Five Star status were notably stringent this year, limiting recognition to the top 40 airlines, representing less than 7% of those evaluated. The APEX Four Star category extended to the next 50 airlines, highlighting that only a total of 8% of airlines globally meet these rigorous standards. Collectively, these ratings, along with the Top 10 APEX World Class airlines, identify the premier 100 airlines for passenger experience.
Andre Viljoen, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Fiji Airways, expressed pride in this accomplishment, stating that it is a recognition deserved not only by the airline but also by the people of Fiji. He emphasized the team’s dedication to excellence and the unique challenges faced as a South Pacific airline, committing to an extraordinary travel experience that reflects the warmth of Fijian hospitality.
Dr. Joe Leader, CEO of APEX, commended Fiji Airways for surpassing passenger expectations with an in-flight experience that embodies the essence of Fiji. He highlighted aspects such as award-winning entertainment options, luxurious Business Class amenities, and innovative offerings for Economy Class, all of which contribute to the airline’s high standing in the industry.
The airline has also focused on growth, announcing plans for new routes and improved connections. By December 2024, Fiji Airways will introduce its first-ever non-stop service between Nadi and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, enhancing access to the U.S. This service will operate three times a week, utilizing the advanced Airbus A350-900, which features award-winning Economy Class and 33 Business Class seats. Additionally, Fiji Airways will expand its services to Adelaide in 2025.
