Shaenaz Voss, former executive general of Corporate Affairs at Fiji Airways, and Sharun Ali, the airline’s general manager of Safety, Security, and Quality, were summoned for questioning at the Nadi Police Station yesterday. Both individuals arrived with their legal representatives and were questioned by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department based in Suva. They entered the police station around midday and were seen leaving after 5 p.m. Acting Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, confirmed that they were interviewed under caution and subsequently released. The questioning was in connection with a breach of the Civil Aviation Security Regulation that occurred in 2018. The investigation is ongoing.
