Fiji Airways has announced that it has achieved a record of zero fatal accidents in its history. In its 2023 annual report presented to Parliament, the airline emphasized that safety and proactive risk management are its top priorities. The report highlights the airline’s over 70-year track record for safety.
The recent restructuring of the airline’s safety operations, which has received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF), is designed to further enhance its safety focus. Investments in advanced technology, such as L3Harris for flight data management, along with a supportive culture, help ensure the airline meets industry-leading safety standards and encourages ongoing improvements.
To bolster its commitment to safety and quality, Fiji Airways has appointed a dedicated executive manager for group safety and quality, supported by a team of 15 experts. The airline’s safety strategy is built upon four fundamental pillars: policies, risk management, assurance, and promotions.
These pillars are essential in maintaining high safety standards and positioning Fiji Airways as a leader in the aviation industry.
