Fiji Airways has announced the appointment of Narendra Kumar to its Board of Directors, effective February 13. This strategic move reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthen its leadership and enhance its growth trajectory in the aviation sector.

The national airline expressed its gratitude to Daksesh Patel for his significant contributions and dedicated service throughout his tenure. Group Chair Nalin Patel highlighted Kumar’s vast experience in tourism, aviation, governance, and finance, suggesting that his insights will be instrumental in shaping Fiji Airways’ future direction and strategic initiatives.

Kumar is currently a Director at House of Travel Pty Limited and House of Travel Holdings Limited in Australia. His impressive executive background includes serving as Chief Executive of Qantas Link and Chief Financial Officer of Qantas International, positions through which he successfully spearheaded major transformation and restructuring programs.

Additionally, following Patel’s resignation, the Fiji National Provident Fund has appointed Kumar to represent it on the Fiji Airways Board. This transition marks a pivotal moment for Fiji Airways, positioning the airline for enhanced operational excellence and future growth opportunities.
