Fiji Airways and the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding this week, facilitating discounted airfares for FHTA members attending international trade and tourism events. This renewed partnership extends until December 2025 and marks a significant advancement in the cooperation between the two organizations.
Under the revised agreement, Fiji Airways will offer discounts to assist FHTA members in participating in international tourism roadshows and trade events. In return, Fiji Airways will benefit from similar arrangements with hotel partners who are members of FHTA.
FHTA Chief Executive Fantasha Lockington emphasized that this renewal is an important milestone for both the association and the broader tourism sector. She stated, “By extending the benefits of this agreement to all our members, we are reinforcing our dedication to supporting every facet of our industry.” Lockington expressed enthusiasm for continuing the collaboration with Fiji Airways and discovering new possibilities to advance the sector.
Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen noted that this renewed MOU would strengthen their partnership and offer valuable benefits to all members. “We’re excited to enhance our collaboration and continue contributing to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry,” he said. The renewed MOU is expected to create improved opportunities for collaboration, promotional initiatives, and mutual support among members.
