The Fiji Airways Aviation Academy is actively training pilots from both regional and international backgrounds, a development that Tourism Minister Viliame Gavoka has labeled as a notable achievement.
During a recent address in Parliament, Mr. Gavoka shared that Fiji Airways operates a fleet of 350 aircraft, with two additional planes set to be introduced in the next two weeks. He noted that the airline employs approximately 2,200 staff members, with over 90 percent of the pilots being local.
Furthermore, he highlighted that the academy is welcoming international pilots to Nadi for training, marking a significant milestone for Fiji Airways.
