Fiji Airports Invests in New Aerobridges: What’s Changing?

Fiji Airports has entered into a $10.4 million agreement with Australian company RATE to procure six new aerobridges for passengers. According to FA’s CEO, Mesake Nawari, this investment is set to upgrade aging infrastructure and meet future passenger needs at Nadi International Airport. The goal is to enhance passenger experience and boost operational efficiency.

Nawari explained that as part of the terminal expansion and master plan, the contract includes two new aerobridges and the replacement of four existing ones, especially to properly accommodate widebody aircraft like the A350s. The new additions, which will serve Gates 1, 2A, and 2B, will allow the airport to make optimal use of the available parking stands on the apron.

More details on this development can be found in tomorrow’s edition of the Fiji Times.
