Fiji Aims for Victory in Thrilling U-16 Clash Against Tonga!

The Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas are excited for their opening match in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship scheduled for this Sunday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Head Coach Marika Rodu expressed confidence in the team’s preparations as they approach the tournament.

“The preparation is progressing well, and we’re in our final week staying focused. The girls are in great shape and eager for the match against Tonga,” Rodu stated. He acknowledged the challenges of competing in the first match, particularly against a well-known defensive team like Tonga.

“The first match is always difficult, but our aim is to start strong and quickly adapt to the game,” he added. Rodu noted that Tonga’s defensive tactics could pose difficulties for Fiji in scoring but remains optimistic about their game plan.

“We have been working on strategies to penetrate their defense and secure those essential three points on Sunday,” he said. The match between Fiji and Tonga will kick off at 3 pm this Sunday.
