Fiji aims to leverage their home advantage as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 26 qualifiers this month in Suva. With the third match day approaching, Coach Rob Sherman is determined to propel his team towards a semi-final spot scheduled to take place in New Zealand in early 2025.
Sherman remains optimistic, having retained a significant portion of the squad he previously coached earlier this year. “We’ve had a couple of friendlies in the September window, so we’ve been working with the team consistently throughout the year,” he stated.
Regarding their preparations for the qualifiers, Sherman expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress. “In terms of preparation for the qualifiers, things have gone pretty well, so I’m reasonably happy with the progress we’ve made,” he remarked.
