Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka announced Fiji’s intention to host the 2031 Pacific Games during the 2023 Fiji Sports Awards held at HFC Bank Stadium. He stated that Fiji has officially submitted its bid through the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC), which will present the proposal in Palau next month. Mr. Rabuka emphasized that the People’s Coalition Government is dedicated to fostering sports development at all levels. He affirmed the government’s commitment to investing in athletes, enhancing sports infrastructure, and promoting inclusivity in sports, ensuring opportunities for all Fijians to participate and achieve their sporting aspirations, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or ability.
