Fiji 7s Unveils Dubai SVNS Squad: Veterans Return and Debutant Narogo

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has unveiled its squad for the upcoming HSBC SVNS Dubai 7s tournament, showcasing a blend of veteran talent and promising newcomers. Notably, the return of Ratu Sakiusa Vatunitu Siqila and Waisea Nacuqu will bolster the team’s experience as they prepare for competitive matches.

The selection includes an array of skilled players in critical positions, such as Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Jeremaia Matana, Joseva Talacolo, and Sevuloni Mocenacagi in the forwards. In the backline, George Bose, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, and Ratu Manueli Nete Maisamoa are expected to inject speed and agility into the team’s strategy.

Of particular interest is Apete Narogo, a 23-year-old from Ubuntu, who is set to make his international debut during this tournament after impressing at the Ignite 7s in New Zealand earlier in the month. His inclusion underscores the team’s commitment to infusing fresh talent into the squad.

Fiji’s tournament journey kicks off against Argentina on November 29 at 9:10 PM, followed by a matchup against South Africa at 12:16 AM the next day. Their final pool match will see them face France at 4:12 AM. The team is scheduled to depart for Dubai tomorrow, eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.
