This turnaround can be attributed to the leadership of head coach Osea Kolinisau, who has implemented a thorough fitness and defensive training regime since his appointment on March 8, 2024.

Over the past four months, the team has demonstrated significant improvement, with the resurgence of their renowned Fijian playing style becoming evident on the international stage. Notably, their recent success in Dubai marked a significant return to form for the team, ending a challenging 22-tournament winless streak.
