The Fiji men’s and women’s 7s development teams are set to gain valuable experience at the upcoming Oceania 7s Championship next month. The men’s team has been placed in Pool A alongside Nauru and Tuvalu, while Pool B features strong competitors including Australia, Vanuatu, American Samoa, and Japan. Pool C comprises the Cook Islands, Kiribati, New Caledonia, and Samoa, while the fourth pool, Pool D, includes hosts Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga, and Niue.

For the women’s competition, the Fijiana 7s team is placed in Pool A with the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Pool B contains American Samoa, Samoa, and Vanuatu, whereas Pool C is made up of the Cook Islands, Kiribati, and Tonga.

The championship is scheduled to take place on December 7 and 8, providing both teams with the opportunity to compete against a variety of Pacific nations. This event not only offers a platform for skill enhancement but also a chance for players to showcase their talents on a larger stage, which could be a vital stepping stone for future international competitions.
