Fiji Men’s 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau is exploring the opportunity for the national team to participate in one or two local tournaments this year. As many players prepare to play for their clubs in upcoming competitions, there is a potential for the national team to join in, depending on scheduling.
Kolinisau stated, “We are already conducting strength tests to lay the groundwork for the 2025 series.” He emphasized the importance of incorporating younger players into the team, highlighting the developmental advantages that local competitions can offer.
“If our schedule permits, we may enter one or two tournaments. We have a lot of young talent coming up, and this could be a great opportunity to involve them in our development,” he added.
