The Fiji 7s team showcased their rugby prowess once again by successfully defending the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s title, emerging victorious against the Mike Friday Select team with a score of 29-14 in the Cup final held at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Under the leadership of coach Osea Kolinisau, the Fijian team dominated the first half, scoring four unanswered tries from players including Filipe Sauturaga, Joseva Talacolo, Pilipo Bukayaro, and Vuiviawa Naduvalo, to establish a commanding 22-0 lead at halftime. The Mike Friday Select team, featuring prominent players like Jerry Tuwai and Rosko Specman, intensified their efforts in the second half, scoring two tries through Iowane Teba and Chris Odinga.
