Satala has finalized the lineup, which features five debutants, including Lasaro Bogisa, Iosefo Namoce, and Alipate Nabiu. Namoce, a centre for Suva in the current Skipper Cup competition, is one of the fresh faces joining a squad that boasts a blend of experienced talents—crucial for performing well in the high-stakes environment of the Oceania tournament.

The Oceania Sevens, taking place on December 7-8, marks a historic occasion as it is the first time the Solomon Islands will host this tournament. The event will witness 15 men’s teams and nine women’s teams competing, with a total of 58 matches scheduled over the two-day period. Notably, Niue and Kiribati will make their debuts in the women’s division, further emphasizing the tournament’s role in promoting rugby across the region.

This tournament not only highlights the depth and talent in Pacific rugby but also serves as a platform for emerging nations. With seasoned and new talents on the field, it promises to be an exciting weekend for rugby enthusiasts and supporters alike.

Overall, the anticipation surrounding the Oceania Sevens showcases the growing importance of rugby in this region and its ability to unite diverse teams and cultures in a competitive yet positive environment.
