The Fiji 7s development team has finalized its roster in preparation for the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship, set to commence tomorrow. Key players Manueli Maisamoa, Lasaro Bogisa, and Sakiusa Saqila have joined the squad in Honiara after a successful stint in Dubai, where they captured the Men’s International Open Cup by defeating Speranza with a score of 36-17.

Head Coach Viliame Satala expressed his enthusiasm for the return of these players, noting their effective training session with the team. He mentioned, “It’s great to be joined by Saqila, Maisamoa, and Lasaro who came back from Dubai and have trained well with the boys.” Satala also acknowledged the challenges presented by the hot weather but emphasized that the team has adapted well.

Looking ahead to their opening match against Nauru, Satala reassured fans that the team respects all opponents. “We are treating this tournament with the respect we would do at the Series, and we will play to that standard,” he stated.

Fiji 7s Development will face Nauru at 11:34 AM tomorrow, followed by a match against Tuvalu at 7:16 PM.

Overall, this championship presents a great opportunity for the Fiji team to showcase their skill and determination, continuing to build on their recent success and preparing for future competitions with aspirations of excellence.
