The Fiji 7s Development team has advanced to the grand final of the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship, showcasing their strong performance by defeating Tuvalu 38-0 in the semifinals.

Although the final score reflected a dominant display, the match presented challenges for the team coached by Viliame Satala. Tuvalu had previously achieved an upset by knocking out Japan Development in the quarterfinals, indicating their capability on the field.

In the first half, Fiji established a commanding lead of 24-0, scoring four tries, with Viliame Naikausa leading the charge with two tries, complemented by contributions from Manueli Maisamoa and Sakiusa Siqila, who both added a try each.

The second half saw Fiji maintain their momentum, as Army winger Rokoua Rasaku scored early, taking advantage of a Tuvalu side that appeared to be fatigued from their earlier match. Maikeli Rabuli capped off the scoring for Fiji with the final try, while Siqila successfully added four conversion kicks.

The Fijian team displayed remarkable skill and resilience, positioning themselves as strong contenders in the championship, with their eyes set on victory in the final match.

Overall, this achievement not only highlights the talent within the Fiji rugby system but also brings hope for a bright future as they continue to develop promising players through these competitive tournaments.
