Fiji 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau has expressed his gratitude for the renewal of his contract for an additional four years, reaffirming that his commitment has always been to Fiji. After a period of uncertainty and speculation regarding his future, Kolinisau clarified his dedication to Fijian rugby.

He stated, “My heart has always been with Fiji; I always wanted Fiji to dominate in 7s. I just had to go back and discuss the arrangements with my wife.”

Kolinisau also reflected on the valuable lessons learned from past Olympic experiences, highlighting the critical role of mental preparation and game intensity. He remarked, “There are many lessons from the Olympics. It all comes down to mentality. One significant lesson we learned was regarding game intensity. When we train at a level above the intensity of previous series, our performance improves, and that’s what we focused on at the Olympics.”
