Fiji 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau has expressed his gratitude for the extension of his contract for an additional four years, reaffirming his deep commitment to Fijian rugby.
Amid speculation regarding his future, Kolinisau has clarified his dedication to leading Fiji’s 7s team. He stated, “My heart has always been with Fiji; I always wanted Fiji to dominate in 7s. I just had to discuss the arrangements with my wife.”
Kolinisau also reflected on the insights gained from previous Olympic experiences, highlighting the significance of mental preparedness and game intensity. “There are a lot of learnings from the Olympics; it all comes down to mentality,” he noted. He emphasized that one major realization was the need for heightened game intensity during training, which in turn enhances overall performance, as evidenced by their Olympic journey.
