FIFA great Luke Wilkshire is set to be the distinguished chief guest at this year’s Extra Supermarket Fiji Football Association Awards Night, scheduled to take place at the Crown Plaza Hotel on December 1.
Wilkshire, a right back who has proudly represented Australia in 80 international matches, has a noteworthy career that includes stints with prestigious clubs such as Middlesbrough and Bristol City in the English Premier League, as well as the Dutch club Feyenoord.
This exciting announcement was made by Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf, who confirmed that the Fiji FA Awards Night is making a much-anticipated return after a three-year hiatus.
This year, there are 14 esteemed awards on offer, bolstered by the support of new sponsor Extra Supermarket, ensuring that the event promises to be even more spectacular than previous iterations.
The awards categories include: Male Footballer of the Year, Female Footballer of the Year, Young Male Footballer of the Year, Young Female Footballer of the Year, Futsal Player of the Year (Male/Female), Team of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Elite Player of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
