FICAC is set to investigate the alleged leak of a letter from former acting deputy commissioner Francis Puleiwai, which calls for Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad to face charges. FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali confirmed that they would be examining the leak while also continuing their inquiry into Professor Biman.
Ms. Malimali stated that they are aware of the ongoing investigations regarding DPM Prasad and emphasized that the case is in the hands of the investigative team. She also mentioned that she has not yet reviewed the case files concerning 17 prominent individuals referred to FICAC, noting that some files have not reached her desk despite her requests. The investigations will be conducted by the team assigned to each referral.
