Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya has been exonerated in investigations conducted by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

FICAC announced that the complaints were filed by the Supervisor of Elections in April concerning allegations that Ms. Tabuya falsely declared her income and failed to disclose certain financial information. A similar complaint was made regarding her ex-husband, Robert Semaan.

FICAC reviewed the claim, conducted an inquiry, and determined that there was no obligation for Ms. Tabuya to reveal any information related to her spouse. Since the minister has been divorced from Semaan since 2016, FICAC decided to close the case.
