The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption will not pursue charges against former Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum regarding allegations of violating Section 24 (5) of the Political Parties (Registration, Conduction, Funding, and Disclosures) Act 2013. Investigations have shown insufficient evidence to substantiate claims of wrongdoing by Sayed-Khaiyum.

Additionally, FICAC formally notified the Fijian Elections Office on July 24, 2024, of its decision to close the case related to these allegations. The commission has also provided recommendations to the Elections Office aimed at improving and clarifying processes to prevent similar issues in the future and to aid investigations.
