Registration is set to open soon for the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA) Annual Congress following its official launch at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. FICA president Wiliki Takiveikata emphasized the event’s role as a vital platform for discussion and knowledge sharing among industry professionals.
This year’s congress will take place from June 6-7 at the Crowne Plaza, themed “Shaping Fiji for Tomorrow’s Challenges and Opportunities.” Takiveikata expressed excitement for the engaging lineup of speakers and topics aimed at equipping delegates to navigate contemporary business challenges and seize emerging opportunities.
Key sponsors Asco Motors and Vodafone Fiji Ltd, who collectively contributed $120,000 for the event, were acknowledged for their ongoing support. Takiveikata noted Asco Motors’ return as a major sponsor following its involvement in the previous year, as well as Vodafone’s continued commitment as a platinum sponsor.
The congress will feature three distinct sessions addressing crucial topics affecting businesses and the economy, with panel discussions led by industry experts designed to foster constructive conversations.
This event reflects broader trends in Fiji’s business landscape, such as recent initiatives like the Fiji-Australia Business Council forum, which underscored the importance of collaboration and innovation in navigating economic uncertainties. Such gatherings emphasize the importance of resilience and proactive strategies for future growth.
With an expected focus on digital transformation and economic sustainability, the FICA Congress presents a promising opportunity for local businesses to thrive amidst global challenges.
