The Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) 2024 will adopt the theme: Experience Fiji: Land, Sea and Sky. FETA chair Debra Sadranu announced this theme earlier this week, stating it aims to celebrate the rich beauty and cultural heritage of Fiji while showcasing the synergy among the land, sea, and sky.
“This theme is inspired by our new award category, Specialised Tourism Services, alongside our existing Experiences and Attractions category, which highlights the importance of experiential tourism,” she explained. The intention behind the theme is to provide an immersive experience that honors the essential elements defining Fiji’s unique tourism allure.
Ms. Sadranu also highlighted the significance of the ANZ FETA on Fiji’s calendar, emphasizing its role in recognizing outstanding achievements within the tourism sector. “We celebrate the commitment of tourism stakeholders and businesses dedicated to advancing the industry and promoting a sustainable future,” she remarked.
Additionally, FETA announced that the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort will host the 2024 ANZ FETA gala dinner for the second year in a row on February 8, 2025. Rosie Holidays has been named an official Gold sponsor and is the creative force behind this year’s event theme.
Brigid Whitton, director of Rosie Holidays Events, expressed excitement about participating in the awards and contributing to the theme’s narrative. “We believe in telling Fiji’s story through engaging elements that capture the essence of our landscapes, culture, and spirit,” said Ms. Whitton.
