In the Central Division, a man in his 50s was taken into custody at a carrier stand after being allegedly discovered with dried leaves believed to be marijuana. Additionally, along Mead Road in Nabua, a man in his 20s was arrested with several sachets of dried leaves, a plastic zip-lock bag with seeds believed to be marijuana, and another bag containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine.
In the Western Division, an 18-year-old male was apprehended in Sigatoka town for allegedly possessing over 50 dried branches and loose leaves believed to be marijuana.
ACP Driu indicated that police operations will also focus on increasing school and community awareness. He emphasized that the sharing of information significantly supports law enforcement efforts aimed at reducing the supply of illegal substances.
