The Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji (FENC) is dedicated to addressing serious issues affecting children, such as drug-related problems and domestic violence. FENC CEO Nirmala Nambiar made these remarks during the annual walk-a-thon event held at Natabua High School in Lautoka. She expressed the need for a peaceful environment for children to thrive and grow into responsible leaders of the future.

Ms. Nambiar announced plans for the opening of new office spaces in Lautoka and Labasa, as well as the establishment of learning centers aimed at offering additional educational support to children who require it. These centers will provide tailored assistance from teachers to help students excel academically.

FENC aims to ensure that every dollar raised directly benefits children in need. Nambiar emphasized, “No money is wasted,” underlining the organization’s commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of society. This support includes Back-to-School initiatives where the foundation distributes school bags, books, and stationery to children who lack these essential resources.

Similar efforts from FENC, including a recent walk-a-thon that raised awareness and funds for such causes, demonstrate the importance of community involvement in uplifting educational opportunities for the underprivileged. FENC has provided essential support to thousands of children over the years, showcasing a steadfast commitment to improving educational outcomes and creating a better future for Fiji’s youth.

This dedication to assistance and community engagement brings a renewed sense of hope, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for positive change in the lives of disadvantaged children across Fiji.
