FCEF CEO Jonetani Tonawai Moves On: What’s Next?

Jonetani Tonawai, the chief executive officer of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), is resigning from his position to seek new opportunities. Since taking on the role in July of last year, Mr. Tonawai has made significant contributions to the organization.

FCEF chairperson Vinay Narsey expressed gratitude for Tonawai’s dedication, stating, “We are deeply grateful for Jonetani’s commitment to FCEF. We fully support his decision and wish him every success in his future endeavors.” He noted that after a year, Tonawai is ready to focus on his passion for training and development, along with other personal business interests.

Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. Tonawai described his experience with FCEF as productive and fulfilling. He highlighted his role in understanding the needs of the private sector and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote sustainable economic development for both the private sector and Fiji as a whole.

FCEF affirmed its commitment to representing businesses in Fiji and maintaining a supportive business environment as it begins the search for Tonawai’s successor.
