Ratu Ilisaniti Malodali, the Tui Nadogo, has urged the residents of Nadogo, Macuata, to limit their kava consumption to enhance family bonding. He emphasized the importance of fathers being more present at home to properly supervise their children.

Ratu Ilisaniti stated, “A father figure is essential in a household for maintaining discipline, and wrongdoings should not be tolerated.” He believes it is crucial for children to learn appropriate behavior within the community, guided by their parents’ religious teachings.

He expressed concern that today’s youth are increasingly influenced by technology and engage in criminal activities, which jeopardize the village’s values of unity, peace, and growth. Ratu Ilisaniti noted that the upcoming decade will be crucial in determining whether young people are prepared to take on responsibilities in their lives and nationally.

He urged youths to focus on their education and attain good jobs to steer clear of negative influences that may lead them into drug trafficking. In previous discussions, he has warned villagers against growing marijuana, advocating instead for alternative farming practices to improve their incomes.

Ratu Ilisaniti highlighted the importance of a strong family commitment to involve children in religious and cultural activities, in alignment with the police’s calls for enhanced community cooperation.
