Two individuals have lost their lives following a car accident on Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning, Sunday, August 4.
The two victims were passengers in a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man from Lovu in Lautoka.
According to reports, the driver allegedly lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle, leading to the crash.
As a result, the two men died, and three other passengers were taken to Nadi Hospital with serious injuries.
Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, stated that initial findings suggest speeding and alcohol were potential factors in the accident.
Investigations are ongoing.
