Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a “true friend to many” and a “dedicated professional” during his funeral service, which took place at the Dignified Crematorium. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka paid tribute to Mr. Maharaj, commemorating his impressive contributions to the printing industry and the community.
Maharaj established Quality Print in 1982, and for over four decades, his company emerged as a prominent name within Fiji’s printing sector, noted for its excellence and innovative approaches. His legacy marks a significant chapter in the local industry and provided vital support to numerous businesses.
In addition to his success in printing, Mr. Maharaj co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999 and was instrumental in founding the Kidney Foundation of Fiji, highlighting his commitment to healthcare initiatives. He was also an active community member, contributing to various charitable organizations and serving in the Rotary Club since 1990. His leadership included a term as the national president of the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.
The Prime Minister emphasized Mr. Maharaj’s virtue of love and friendship, values that resonate deeply within the community. As the community grapples with the loss of Mr. Maharaj, his influential presence and dedication to service will undoubtedly inspire future generations.
