George “FIJI” Veikoso, the beloved Fijian musician, will be honored with final rites on August 12, 2025, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. This announcement was made on the Homecoming Music Festival’s social media page, where details of the ceremony were shared. Guests are invited to arrive at the arena starting at 7:30 am, with a request to be seated by 8:15 am. The ground floor will be reserved exclusively for family and close friends. The funeral procession is expected to travel along Laucala Bay Road around 8 am, arriving at the arena by 8:30 am, with the service set to begin at 9:00 am. Following the service, friends and family will accompany Veikoso to his burial site, where he will rest among his ancestors.

This ceremony comes shortly after his passing, which has left a considerable impact on his community and beyond. Veikoso, known for blending traditional Fijian music with contemporary genres, has been celebrated as a cultural ambassador.
