Members of Parliament and the Parliament secretariat held a formal farewell for Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, the outgoing Speaker of Parliament and newly elected President, during a session yesterday. This occasion served as a meaningful tribute to Ratu Naiqama’s leadership and contributions over his two-year tenure as he prepares to take on his new responsibilities as Head of State.

In his farewell address, Ratu Naiqama emphasized the importance of continuity in public service, saying, “I will be going across to the other side of the ground just to continue the work there.
