Extra Supermarket Rewa Football Team Banks on Team Chemistry for BOG Semi-final Win.

Extra Supermarket Rewa football team will rely on team chemistry as their strategy to secure a victory against Flick Hygiene Lautoka in the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants (BOG) semi-final at HFC Bank Stadium this Saturday at 2pm.

“Preparation has been going well as we had favourable weather to train and the team bonding has been great,” team manager Peter Singh said.

“The players had a good training session and recovery this week for the semi-finals.”

Singh mentioned that it was encouraging to see the players fit and injury-free after their pool games.

“We should be able to score goals as long as the players stay focused in the semi-final,” he noted.

“We are capable of managing our defense and scoring goals. Our Solomon import has worked well for us, and I think he’s the highest goal scorer in the tournament.”

Singh also highlighted the importance of fan support for gaining momentum.

“We urge our fans to come in and cheer our team as the game will be fast-paced and an entertaining semi-final,” he said.

“We respect Lautoka since they are a good team that will put up a fight.”

Singh emphasized the effort to balance the chemistry between experienced and young players.

“The players are eager to taste victory in the BOG tournament, as it’s been a while since we won the Fiji Fact and BOG trophy,” he said.

The second semi-final at 4.30pm will feature hosts Suva against Nadi.
