“Extra Supermarket Rewa Football Team Banking on Team Chemistry for Victory in BOG Semifinals”

The Extra Supermarket Rewa football team plans to leverage team chemistry as their strategy for success against Flick Hygiene Lautoka in the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants (BOG) semi-final at HFC Bank Stadium this Saturday at 2pm.

“Preparation has been going well as we had favourable weather to train and the team bonding has been great,” said team manager Peter Singh. “The players had a good training session and recovery this week for the semi-finals.”

Singh highlighted that it was a positive sign that the players remained fit and injury-free after their pool games. “We should be able to score goals as long as the players are focused in the semi-final,” he stated. “We are able to manage our defense and score goals. Our Solomon import has worked well for us; I think he’s the highest goal scorer in the tournament.”

Singh emphasized that the team’s momentum would be bolstered by the support of their fans. “We urge our fans to come in and cheer our team as the game will be fast-paced and an entertaining semi-final,” he said. “We respect Lautoka as they are a good team that will put up a fight.”

Singh also mentioned they are working to balance the chemistry between experienced and young players. “The players are looking to get a taste of victory in the BOG tournament as it’s been some time since we last won the Fiji Fact and BOG trophy,” he said.

The second semi-final, scheduled for 4.30pm, will be between hosts Suva and Nadi.
