Extra Bula FC defender Semi Nabenu has reflected on his team’s recent defeat, characterizing it as a valuable lesson after they struggled to convert their dominant possession into goals. Despite controlling large sections of the game, the team was unable to capitalize on their chances, resulting in a 2-0 loss that Nabenu described as disappointing.

He noted that while the team generated numerous scoring opportunities, including two instances when shots struck the post and crossbar, lapses in concentration during crucial moments ultimately led to their downfall. “It was very disappointing. We dominated on the ball but couldn’t manage their counter-attacks, and we just couldn’t put our chances away. It just wasn’t our day,” Nabenu stated.

The defender acknowledged that the squad’s transition defense was slightly lagging compared to their opponents, which compounded their difficulties in securing a positive outcome. However, Nabenu remained optimistic, emphasizing that the team intends to learn from this experience, refine their execution in the attacking third, and use this setback as motivation for their upcoming matches.

Looking ahead, Extra Bula FC is set to face PNG Hekari on Wednesday at 7:45 PM, a match fans can catch live on FBC Sports. The team is hopeful that they will bounce back and turn their fortunes around, turning hard lessons into a path toward improvement.
