Likuliku Lagoon Resort is set for a major renovation in 2025. Ahura Resorts, the fully Fijian family-owned management company behind the resort, announced it will close from February 1 to April 30, 2025.
“We are investing FJ$10 million to enhance and elevate the product offerings and guest experiences of Likuliku. The results will solidify our existing reputation as one of Fiji’s iconic and renowned luxury resorts,” said Tony Whitton, resort owner and Ahura Resorts managing director.
Guests will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to re-book for alternative dates during this period. The revamp will include:
– A refresh of all bures, adding private plunge pools to 11 beachfront bures, increasing the Deluxe Beachfront Bure category from 18 to 29 bures.
– Completing the environmentally-friendly synthetic roof thatching project on the remaining beachfront and deluxe beachfront bures on the eastern side of the resort.
– Refurbishing the signature main pool.
– Adding a new restaurant concept offering an alternative evening dining experience to the existing signature Fijiana restaurant, bringing the total dining options to three.
**Introducing Saluwaki**
Saluwaki, the itaukei word for a collection of indigenous herbs and spices, will feature Pan-Asian cuisine with a focus on local ingredients from both land and sea.
Additionally, the resort will introduce na Vanua Conservation Hub in conjunction with the Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation. Na Vanua will offer guests a series of progressive activities that highlight key conservation projects underway at the resort.
Ahura Resorts is the owner-management company of two of Fiji’s most popular, award-winning, and iconic resorts: Malolo Island Resort, ideal for families, and Likuliku Lagoon Resort, a luxury adults-only escape featuring Fiji’s first and only authentic over-water bures.
