Representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics, Professor Biman Prasad, today.

During the meeting, Leah Gutierrez, Director General of the Pacific Department, and Aaron Batten, Regional Director of the Pacific Sub Regional Office, provided updates on the ADB’s ongoing support for various sectors. These include the water sector, coastal operations, health, roads and bridges, and private sector financing.

Professor Prasad acknowledged the ADB’s continuous support, highlighting its role as a key strategic partner in development. The relationship between Fiji and the ADB has been enduring for over five decades, since 1970.
